The men were sent to a “marketing” for the medication in order to have the pills dispensed by a wholesaler of which the medication was a part. They were arrested on April 26 and taken to a warehouse in a separate location, where they were held for three days.
As a result of the arrest, Viagra was seized in a separate and unrelated case, and the men were charged with trafficking in the active ingredient of Viagra.
“We were very excited at this news, and this is another case where the drug market is the most significant issue for the United States,” said Judge Thomas W. Klee.
The men were convicted on three counts of trafficking in the active ingredient of Viagra, namely: trafficking in the drug for the purpose of selling the drug, selling it in an illegal manner, and selling it in an illegal manner.
